Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return. This is for you to remember, to never forget, that you are mortal, that you will perish.You, yes, you Son of Adam and Daughter of Eve are sinful and unclean, and because of your sin you will die. All things temporal you love more than God will perish and forsake you. All things of this life will rust over and be eaten by the moths. Remember you are dust, remember you are mortal, and to dust you shall return. Live not as if this life is all there is.

Remember more thou, my friends, that there is one who became the dust for you. One who took on the sin of your parents Adam and Eve. There is one who took your love for things temporal in exchange for things eternal. There is one who loved not His life even to the point of death, even death on a cross. Jesus the Christ came and assumed all your sin that returns you to dust and ash in order that He may make satisfaction for your existence and presence before His Father in Heaven. He is the one who made satisfaction on your behalf in order that, on the last day, He may raise you from the dust and make you into your immortal body that will never perish, just as He will never perish. 

These are the two things to remember. You are dust, you are mortal. BUt more importantly, remember that Jesus became mortal, became the dust of your sinful existence, in order that you may live forever in Him. Remember you are dust, but you are claimed dust that will be formed to live unto life everlasting. 

Peace be with you. May the devil be silenced, the world be hushed, and the Old Adam be drowned anew so that you hear only the peaceful voice of your Savior Jesus who says, "I love you. I forgive you. I claim you as My own forever," Amen.
