This is just a quick little post for Judica Sunday tomorrow. Judica is the first word in the Introit for tomorrow and the theme of the day is to judge. Judgment is the theme of the Sunday. Under the law of God we stand judged as children of sin, the devil's descendants. However, on the cross, Jesus took that condemnation of the law and bore it Himself. He bore the curse of the law, bound Himself to our fate, and claimed our sins as His own, and under the wrath of His Father was judged as the sinner of the world. Jesus bound Himself so that you may be free from the tyranny of the devil, the wrath of the Father, the burdens of the world, the sting of sin, and the fate of eternal death. In short, Jesus bound Himself so that you may be free. Jesus is Bound, You Are Free. Your father is no longer the devil, NO. Jesus' Father is your Father. What a blessing to receive the good news that through Jesus' passion we are now children of God. Come tomorrow and hear the good news of your blessed Ancestry that is given to you only in the death and resurrection of your Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.
